Wondering what former judge Roy Moore from Alabama (who was sued by the ACLU for refusing to remove the 10 Commandments from his courtroom wall and who was subsequently removed from the bench) is doing?

He preaches and writes inspirational poetry (see it in the 'additional comments').

America the Beautiful, or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride; I'm glad they'll never see.
Babies piled in dumpsters, Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty; your house is on the sand.
Our children wander aimlessly poisoned by cocaine
Choosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain
From sea to shining sea, our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love and a need to always pray.
We've kept God in our temples, how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool, and Heaven is His throne.
We've voted in a government that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges; who throw reason out the door,
Too soft to place a killer in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry, that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait before His judgment comes?
How are we to face our God, from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide?
If we who are His children, will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face and mend our evil way:
Then God will hear from Heaven;
and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land and those who live within.
But, America the Beautiful, if you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from Thee.

- Former judge Roy Moore

This is a very good man. One that will stand up for the things he believes without backing down. He should be honored.

He did not try to push anything over on the people. He only wanted to live his life as a Christian. That is unpopular and even against the laws in this country much of the time now.

This is not about Christian vs non-Christian but about our rights in this country. Do we or do we not have rights?

Having a good time are we?
Revelling in one man's hardship?
How about if you were told you couldn't do your job because you were an atheist and were not allowed to freely practice your belief / way.
The Supreme court of the United Staes has religious displays in their courtroom and foyers.

Was the angst about the commandments over the content or was it the source?
Neither? Just couldn't stand the acknowledgemnet that the majority of the nation is judeo-christian and that this ancient code was the basis of modern law.

Can't have the ten commandments outside the court room, Doesn't that make having them in the law books a violation of church and state? I guess murder and theft aren't illegal anymore.

I don't understand what the big deal is. I'm not religious but even I see most of the 10 commandments as a list of morals.

This was not penned by Roy Moore. It's not even listed on his website. Pure hoax.

So that traitor is writing poetry now? What a slimeball.

Notice how he has aligned himself with the al Qaida attitude about the United States? Why doesn't he simply move to Afghanistan and join them?

Apparently he's well aware that his imaginary "god" can't speak for himself. But apparently he's utterly unaware that any decent "god" wouldn't behave like he's behaving.

I agree - let the little traitor go move in with the Taliban.

Well, he's every bit as good a poet as he was a judge.

Why do these people stay in the U.S., if they hate it so much here?
