height genetics?

Lets say my dad is 5'7, however, he is that short because when he was younger he was exposed to malnutrition, stressing hard work and very little time to sleep. So here are my questions:

1. Will i inherit his height which is 5'7 or would i inherit a height higher than 5'7 because of his conditions when he was younger?

It is possible that you may inherit the traits of potentially becoming taller but not necessarily. How about your mother and the rest of the family? You may inherit from them too.

Anyway, though genetics play a role in determining the height, there are still many factors that could also affect your height determination.

>>Be mentally and psychologically healthy. Stress affects the growth hormone secretions as well.
>> Avoid any chemicals or any substance of abuse. That would greatly affect your growth.

you might inherit his height cos his genes were passed down to you but ultimately its up to you, say, you do sports and eat healthily, you'll grow taller, for me, i drank loads of milk and it helps me to grow tall. For your info, my dad is shorter than me.
