The Book of Genesis
The Book of Genesis has sometimes been called the "seed-plot" of the entire Bible. Most of the major doctrines in the Bible are introduced in "seed" form in the Book of Genesis. Along with the fall of man, God's promise of salvation or redemption is recorded (Genesis 3:15). The doctrines of creation, imputation of sin, justification, atonement, depravity, wrath, grace, sovereignty, responsibility, and many more are all addressed in this "seed" Book called Genesis.
Many of the great questions of life are answered in Genesis. (1) Where have I come from? (answered in Genesis 1:1) (2) Why am I here? (answered in Genesis 15:6) (3) Where am I going? (answered in Genesis 25:8). Genesis has appeal to the scientist, the historian, the theologian, the housewife, the farmer, the traveler, and the man or woman of God. It is a fitting beginning for God's story of His love for mankind, the Bible.

You can create your own lessons by picking a NT book and using points in that book. For instance, if Romans, then how we're saved by grace without works, and the believer is not under the condemnation of God, etc.
It can be done with any NT book.
If you use someone's pre-prepared materials, avoid Rob Bell ("Nooma" videos). The guy denies the cross of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. Yet he's popular with some "youth groups" today. "Nooma" videos should be avoided at all costs.

Why not go old testament? like the story in genesis, Judah, the son of Jacob, it's a good one! What happens is, Judah's son dies, leaving a widow. By law, the widow was suppose to marry another of Judah's sons, but Judah said no. So she dressed as a harlot and went to Judah. They banged uglies, and she got pregnant. As payment he gave her some gold bracelets. When Judah discovered his widowed daughter in law was pregnant, he demanded she be put to death, becuase she was a whore. She whipped out the bracelets, he realized he had slept with her, and that her child was his son. He apologized for not allowing her to marry his other son. And cue the "Full House everything is all better now" music. The moral? It's perfectly fine for men to sleep around, but when girls do it, they should be put to death. Oh wait, is that a good moral??? Here's my moral. Don't teach out of the Bible. I am a Christian, but the Bible is a bunch of crap. It has been changed too much to meet the desires of men, it's not correct anymore.

Teach them not to comform to the world. Its so hard not to now adays. To believe in the bible and its teaching is almost opposite of how the media, and people around us want us to believe or think. Also about revelations. Tell them to look at what is happening in the world. All the disasters. Jesus said these will be the birth pains of his coming.

A DVD series called Nooma. If you don't have access to a DVD player and television, I'm sure you could find a laptop you could watch it on. They're a 12-15 minute production followed by a discussion led by you, for which the guide is included when you purchase the DVD. They're great!
Hmm okay if you question Rob Bell's theology, I guess stear clear.
There are lots of guides out there to help you develop your own lessons but nothing beats inspiration from God Himself! Seek him and he'll show you what's right for your situation, and what word your kids are in need of hearing.

Start teaching chapter by chapter, through the NT! It's the best way to teach the Word of God with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Teach them about when Elijah used his powers to make bears attack a bunch of young people. This will help the teens to know not to make fun of the follicularly challenged. An important lesson.
