You are just fine,

Don't give up working out. You height and weight is close to the mark. Enjoy being 13 and don't let a few extra pounds worry you. Forget about diets just keep working out and keep up the cardio and you will be just fine when you are older.

Cardio will do more to lose weight than all thoce fancy diets put together. No Pain no gain.

P.S.

You are NOT morbidly obese as someone stated above....5'8" and 200 lbs is OK. I'm 5'7" 215 but I carry it in my shoulders and arms. You will too. Do lots of reps and wake your lift goal 165 in 3 months.. then 185... Put the muscle on

You should probably get back to doing cardio at least 4 times per week. That is the only way you will burn fat. Additionally, try not to concentrate on lifting heavy weights, but work on lower weights with higher reps. I believe you are building too much muscle and it making you look bigger.

You should also try working with a nutritionist to get yourself on a healthy eating lifestyle. At your age you should not be dieting, but you should get accustomed to eating properly and understanding what foods are best for you and why.

Join a gym and have a fitness test done. They will weigh you, tak your measurements, test your endurance and flexibility, and help you create an exercise plan. If you don't end up joining the gym, you can still have this done for a nominal fee at any gym (probably around 50 dollars).

Good luck! Make sure to do more cardio, and keep it fun! You don't have to be a gerbil! Get out and play sports, go swimming or biking!
There's so much you can do!

Okay, so, what lift do you do at 131? If it's bench press, 131 is nothing. Do you seriously think that cardio sucks for you? Think again. You can't lose weight quickly by settling on one way only.(e. g. Great diet no cardio, Great cardio no diet). You have to combine the two to maximize its full potential. Cardio is the best weight loss exercise in the world. It completely eliminates bodyfat and there's absolutely no way it would not work for you unless you're not working hard enough.

you are morbidly obese kiddo, and I am glad that you want to do something about it. What you need to realize is that it took 13 years to get to the weight you have now. It isn't going to go away quickly. Certainly not in one month. You need to exercise in any form for a minimum of thirty minutes a day, without stopping. But most importantly you need to control what you eat. I am not surprised Atkins didn't work for you, it wasn't intended for teens. Look into the South Beach Diet. You might have better luck with that.
