Evidence:
from "justagrandma": "And right now we see Latinos coming here and wanting our country to change to accommodate for them instead of their learning our ways."
from "fatheadandstar": "this is because millions of them come illegally and then send the money they make here back to where they are from, dont even try to learn the language, bad talk the country, have children so they can become citizens, steal jobs. Learn to respect our country and maybe we will accept you" (this was a question asked about Latinos, NOT illegals. So...)
from "louisk": "As far as the Latino go most of them come here illegally and decide they are going to live off of the US taxpayers by collecting all the free services they can get.And the hardworking taxpayer like me cant go to college cant collect unemployment welfare or anything I am entitled to because they have used it all up and they aren't even citizens"

true, and it doesn't matter if most of the illegals are Latino, that is not an excuse to do that. I see people here writing that most are Latino (that's true) but say it as an excuse, that's pretty ignorant.

Unfortunately, it's from ignorance and a lack of understanding of cultural identities. The quote you have from louisk is great when he talks about not being able to go to college or collect unemployment...ANYONE that is a U.S. citizen can get financial aid, it just may be unsubsidized and he'll have to pay interest while in school...and why are we expected to pay his unemployment so he can sit around and do nothing? Ridiculous...

I dont think anyone is equating latino with illegal. The point they are making is that they are not coming to America to be Americans, they are coming to America to be Mexicans in America, therefore disrupting our culture. I agree with the examples you have given and strongly disagree with you.

With millions of Mexicans crossing illegally its clear the 2 words words are crossing paths. I know that most people don't think that way though, especially me.

Did you really have to ask the same question twice?
It's simple really they're dumb. If I were you I wouldn't worry about them too much , no matter where you go there will always be ignorant people (especially on the internet). It bugged me when I first started coming to this forum but I got over it.Oh and may I add that the majority of Hispanics living in America aren't illegal and only about half of illegals come from Mexico.

Unfortunately because the vast majority of illegal immigrants come from south of the border (Mexico, Central & South America).

I have always thought that the word mexican was synonymous with illegal, or illegal alien. I've never heard the term Illegal latino.

I don't. But around here (DC) the immigrants rights people seem to not know the difference. They seem to use immigrant and illegal alien interchangeably. I know the difference and welcome anyone who comes here legally, especially if they want to assimilate. But we have enough criminals here already, no need to import them from other countries (illegal aliens).
