A 1200 sq. ft. single family home in the midwest might need a 1.5 to 2.0 ton AC unit.

Since a mobile home as less insulation, I'd recommend going with a two ton unit.

Go to the reference and use their calculator (method 2) for your region, then upsize by one size because mobile homes aren't usually well-insulated.
