There are a lot of good reasons to drink milk. It's good for your bones, it assists in your immune system.
Too much of any good thing can have bad effects. There is a evidence to suggest that too much milk can cause gall bladder stones and kidney stones (very painful). Also, excess milk consumption can cause skin problems such as eczema or even dermatitis. Excess consumption is known to make people fat and in others can cause stomach problems like diorreah or irritable bowel syndrome. Excess consumption can also make you lactose intolerant by breaking your resistance down by saturating your system with lactose. The worst part of all is that you can actually change the way you smell by drinking too much milk as it starts to sweat out through your pores just like you can change the way your sperm tastes by drinking pineapple juice.
But what would I know? I'm a clown, not a doctor.
Next please.

Rule of thumb - eat and drink with moderation. If you drink 4-5 cups or even more in one day (refer to your question), there
's 7 days in a week, and the rest of the week, 6 days, you are drinking water, I think it won't hurt you.

But if you are drinking milk 4-5 cups - not glass - make it 3 times a week - say mondays, thuesdays and saturdays.
Milk build up something in our intestines, that when we rich older age, our system starts to fail and we develop acid problem because milk is a form of acid. Too much acid is bad for our body. Then theres this carbohydrates (rice, banana, corn, bread white or brown) that is also rich in acid, and plus other dairy products, cheece, food cooked with cheese. So, eat moderately, drink moderately, less soda because soda is pure acid like venegar....we tested all these and proven so. But of course, it is not bad to eat all these, but just in moderation.

No milk is not bad for you but it gives you strong bone and a bit of weight gaining because your bone is maturing and is acutally getting heavier. If your doctor tell you to drink 3 cups of milk then drink 3 cups of milk. If your target is to lose weight then cut out the calories to 3-400 down and you'll lose weight with exercise and a balanced meal.

Too much milk is not supposed to be bad for you unless you're lactose intolerant.

However, because of all the hormones and antibiotics they give cows, there can be traces of that in milk. If you are worried about this, I suggest you look into organic milk or start drinking soy products.

Only if:

- You are lactose intolerant
- You get phlegmy from the milk protein (casein)
- You need to reduce fat or cholesterol (stick to low or nonfat milk).

There has been research on links between large amounts of milk consumed and medical problems, but aside from excess fat (including saturated fat) I haven't found anything mentioned that sounds like a smoking gun - healthwise.

Of course, I'm not a doc.
