Trim just the ends only for every couple weeks and use a good cream on just the ends, more often. every other day on just the ends, that should help.

If you are trimming your hair but using a curling iron, blow dryer or even worse a straightner every day its not helping your hair so if you are cut back and you'll notice the difference. If you are not then try not washing your hair every day try every other day or every 3 days, or you could also try hot oils or leave in conditioners for dry hair cuz thats probably your problem.

It might be the way you brush your hair, or the way you take your hair-tie out.

If you brush your hair from the top down with knots, it causes split ends. So brush the ends first, then gradually make your way to brushing the top.

As for the ponytails, try to take it out carefully so it doesn't get any hair caught.

Hope this helps!
