What's wrong with my washing machine?

I have a GE washer. Everytime I put any cycle, it will stop several times thoughout the cycle, and I have to push start for it to continue. How do I fix this?

This is a rather common problem. It has to be level!!!
Set a level crosswise and check it in that direction and then from front to back, the four feet can be adjusted to level it up.

Sounds like you need to replace the control switch assembly. You can go through G.E. parts or look them up online ( appliance parts ).
