The devil is a spirit and everything that is spirit is eternal and will always exist. God will not cause anyone he created to not exist anymore. Besides, God is using the devil and all his evil ways to make us spiritually stronger. The devil may not even realize that God is using him even as he is fighting against God. We are all growing spiritually because of the devil when we learn to overcome him. He will deal with him someday though when he is done using him.

He is a God of love. He sets before you (us) good, and evil, therefore choose. If he killed the devil God would do away with the temptations that come from the devil, and we could not choose to do good and resist the evil and there by, merit heaven. Remember we Choose to go to heaven and we choose to go to hell.

If the devil was once his angel, why would he kill him, God is about love, and he did love him once, I am sure he still does. If God is the creator he is not going to kill what he created.

The devil provides the balance between good and evil. Also, in my view, human beings are meant to eventually conquer the devil one day, and the devil is, in my opinion, a tool to help human beings to eventually realize that good is better than evil.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Even tho God permits Satan to do his work in this world, God is still in control. And Jesus has complete power over Satan---he defeated Satan when he died and rose again for the sins of mankind. One day Satan will be bound forever, never again to do his evil work (see Rev. 20:10). Then the devil who had betrayed them will again be thrown into the Lake of Fire burning with sulphur where the Creature and False Prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

The prophecy must be fulfilled. The devil is not just a bad man in an ugly suit. He is God's tool in which he uses in order to see who is truely God's and who is Satan's. Most of the world will follow Satan, because its the easy way in life, but God wants to see who will take the path less chosen and walk by faith through him. God doesn't want anyone to go to hell that is why he gives us free will to choose Heaven or Hell, and just as God rules heaven, Satan is in Charge of hell.

Because when he planned all of this stuff out, he planned every single birth and death of every single being in the entire universe. So god knows exactly when satan will die, he just doesn't want us to know that.

god tries to tell us that we all have free will, but he is actually only fooling us, since he has predetermined each and every birth and death.

so god can't kill the devil until he looks it up in his manual, and confirms the exact date and time that he planned satan to die.

Because just as all of God's children he has the opportunity to redeem himself in God's eyes. God is unconditional love. He is quite capable of forgiving him, and letting him come back into the fold. Besides, when we fight off the lies which contain some truth in them, and do as God would have us do, even when we don't want to, we grow and learn. In this we can use what knowledge we have gained to help others in their struggles.

I have the power to kill lot's of people, but I don't.

Satan and his co-horts are "on display" for all of God's universe. We are unaware of this, but God is allowing the results of sin to be demonstrated for all creatures of all time.

Sort of like when I let my kids watch all the Xtreme sports crashes on video. Now kids, don't do this kind of stupid thing... here's why.
