the other? Young minds should not be exposed to these evils until they can discern how they corrupt the mind with their ignorance and twisted values.

Why don't Christian's respect the views of atheists? You're always asking for respect aren't you, even going so far as to suggest that criticizing Christianity shouldn't be allowed. Do you want to go back to the good old days of persecuting heretics or what?

To the unbeliever: I see your point of view. Isn't lying to children from birth about the origin of the world they live in and inventing a completely fictitious God and belief system rather a BIG DEAL?

Ultimately it's a personal decision. We can't legislate what parents decide to teach their kids. When I have children I'll definitely expose them to the teachings of Christianity -some of which are beautiful but many of which are dangerous - but I'll also teach them science and reason and humanism.

After all we're in the 21st Century. Isn't is time we stopped kidding ourselves. I mean does anyone really REALLY believe that the CREATOR of all this (that's the madman in the old testament) impregnated an obscure Jewish teenager who subsequently gave birth to GOD. Yeah whatever, pull the other one!

Either kids swallow all that crap and learn to be good little hypocrites or they rebel and wonder what mummy and daddy were thinking with all the mumbo-jumbo. It's unlikely they'll have much respect for them after that.

I'm not even a christian and I don't agree with you. Parents raise their children and even in their stupidity are allowed to pass on their traditions and beliefs. However, we no longer live in isolated villages with only a few travelers bringing news from across the horizon. Far more teenagers question their parent's beliefs since they are exposed to the world instead of just Fort Worth. The major portion of christian faith is not a twisted value. Seems right not to steal from others, or to not honor your parents, don't you think?

Pornography is a separate issue and is completely independent of any religion.

LoL. What blind arrogance. It's WWII & communism all over again. I wonder if everyone in America will come to think the way you do. If so I look forward to the day when I will be persecuted for Christ. I hope I will be strong enough to withstand what people like you will do to me.

What's really funny to me is that expressing this kind of sentiment against Christianity is acceptable (apparently) whereas expressing the desire to protect children from Islam (which actually does teach hatred - and instructs young children to murder infidels) would be viewed as outrageous.

Christianity = God's love and grace, treating others as you would like to be treated, forgiveness, respecting each other, Jesus' perfect example to follow our lives by.....yes, I'll "risk" exposing my children to these "twisted" Christianity values without a second's hesitation.

Evil? Ignorance? Twisted values? Not sure where you are coming from on this. Can you explain why you think Christians are this way?

ok you should say evil... you should say people of Christianity are judgmental, intolerant, ignorant, they dont use common sense, they worship a god who they can't see, they think they have the right way and any other way is not the right path... and anyone who dosent believe in what they believe they put them out of the way... so most of them dont even have respect for others like atheist

Pornography is different...as it's not bad. If they don't see it on paper, it'll still be in their minds. It's called "human nature" and the church is the only thing trying to suppress that.

Christianity, well that's pretty damaging when you have a 5 yr old kid crying over hell. Little kids shouldn't even have to worry about that-- give them morals and let them grow up how they want.
