I used to. But knowing I have such a wonderful family, I don't. I KNOW my husband will go to good hands. My bf too?

Your stuff like your possessions? What difference will it make? If you have something you want to go to someone, write it down. Make a will. You can get a form on the internet, and give a copy to a friend, post a copy in your home or apartment, and keep a copy with you. If it is something you don't want anyone to find, get rid of it now, to avoid embarrasment. I want to clean up my stuff so no one else has to go through all the junk and say "boy, she was a real packrat"! Or wonder why I kept all the stuff I have. Donate things you don't need now, and then you won't have to worry. Life is too short to worry about "stuff". People are important. Friends are important. Stuff is just that. Stuff. it is replaceable. It is not the memories attached to it. It is not the feelings. It is just stuff.

I was looking in my glass cabinet earlier today at the basket my daughter carried at my wedding 2 years ago and wondering what would happen to it when I died. I was hoping who ever went through my stuff would know to keep it and not just chuck it out! Now I've read this question it makes me think it's a sign of some sort and I'd better mark on the bottom of it what it is!!!

I worry more about what will happen to my pets. That might sound kind of stupid to some people, but my pets are like my children and I want them to be taken well care of after I'm gone. I never really think about what will happen to my other stuff. I don't really care about the other stuff either, they can sell it or give it away to Goodwill.

I think that's not uncommon a thing to consider...especially because stuff no longer is just "stuff" after a period of having it. As time goes on, the things we own become symbols of our personality and way of life... even the most basic things become sacred to us.

Nope, I enjoy what I have, and when I am gone it really doesn't matter. Why should it? If it bothers you give it away before you go, and you'll know where it will be and won't have the worry. Write it down and give to someone you trust.

Just my pets. I know my family will race to see who can take more of them in (to the shelter, i mean) the second I stop breathing.

yes I do. I would like to have a will that says who gets what, but I think people kind of take what they want anyway.

There's not that much to worry about. I could care less.
