Tourette syndrome (also called Tourette's syndrome, Tourette's disorder, Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, GTS or, more commonly, simply Tourette's or TS) is an inherited neurological disorder with onset in childhood, characterized by the presence of multiple physical (motor) tics and at least one vocal (phonic) tic; these tics characteristically wax and wane. Tourette's is defined as part of a spectrum of tic disorders, which includes transient and chronic tics.

There are no 'thoughts' as far as an outburst of Tourette Syndrome is concerned ... and even people who live a very restricted life and who never swear or say anything untoward, or even think about that can say the most terrible things ... this happens because some of the neurons in the brain 'short circuit' so that these 'bad things' are said. We all know the words, we all know the acts, and that 'short circuit' opens that storage center in the brain, and out they come as verbalizations ... there is NO THOUGHT, NO INTENT, it's just a 'short circuit' that causes these verbalizations.

I am not sure if what I know is even true. It is a neurological illness isn't it? Sufferers have involuntary tics and movements. Occasionally they make involvuntary noises (vocal tics). It is not cureable and many more people have it than they first thought; apparently it used to be considered a rare illness.

That is about all I know about it. I saw a TV show where three sufferers talked about it. All of them were adolescents though.

Common side effect of the DPT and MMR childhood immunization.

Take a healthy child, give him or her a shot containing chemicals that destroy the brain and nervous system, get a new symptom, give a new name for that, then give them another drug for the symptoms associated with Tourette's.

This is called insanity.
