As I said, this was just part of the list and explanations are on the site. Here is what it says about dairy products..
Are high in fat, which can cause pancreatitis, gas and diarrhea. A small amount of non-fat, plain yogurt is usually safe.

Wow...I didn't realize there were so many foods toxic to dogs. That's a great list and I will keep it. However, I don't feed my dogs human food, but when preparing food I may sometimes accidentally drop food on the floor and my dogs are masters at grabbing it in a second! I will be extra careful if I am ever preparing anything with foods like this. I don't think I'll worry about pennies, though....I have never seen my dogs wanting to munch on one of those! ;)

Garlic can be toxic and cause kidney failure if they eat a lot of it. Pumpkin (not pie filling, but 100% pure pumpkin) is good for dogs, we put a spoonful on kibble to help if the dogs get a small bout of the runs... it helps. I wouldn't feed apples or oranges either, they can cause gas. Broccoli is also hard for dogs to digest, it will come out looking really similar to how it went in if there is any stem on it.

Dairy isn't toxic, but cats and dogs are generally lactose intolerant and dairy products can cause diarrhea. Garlic is toxic to the red blood cells in large amounts--best not to use.
Good list of reminders otherwise!

Thanks for the info. But I think walnuts and dairy is incorrect. My vet actually said I could let my dog have some plain yogurt to help encourage him to eat his food and fatten him up (skinny pound puppy.) And I've never heard of walnuts being bad...my other dog actually ate a whole bag of them.

But, I may be wrong...

Thanks. This should be posted over and over here probably 10 times a day.
BTW, yogurt /plain and natural/ is excellent for dogs, garlic not in excess is great.
In addition to your list, MOST "dog foods" are toxic like hell.

I have to wonder....Garlic is used in some higher end dog treats and dog food. I know that some dogs are allergic to it, but I don't think that it is generally toxic.
