I mean have you ever actually tried to help spmebody get legal, is that how you know everything?Or, is it just what you hear and read.I'm very curious, because I'm going through this with somebody right now and alot of the stuff some people say is just totally incorrect! Why do you argue with people who are going through this like they don't know what they're talking about? What better facts then to actually go through it?

I think a lot of them rely on the media and its biased views for their information. They fail to realize that what they are reading is being taken out of proportion or isn't based on any factual information.
I wish the media gave a full list of their sources and sited exactly where they got their ideas from.
I usually try to do some research before I open my mouth and say something completely untrue. I try not to rely on sources that have their own opinions incorporated in the story.
It's hard doing research..its biased article after the other.

You're feisty! I like that in a dame.
Fact is, most of these anti-immigrant types never met an immigrant, except maybe their grandmother. On the TV news they say there are 12 million illegal immigrants. Crisis! Crisis! Crisis!
What crisis, for crissakes? Did all these people appear over night? (OK maybe a lot did appear overnight, but not all at once.) Seems to me that some people in Washington DC want us to get mad at someone other than themselves.
That's my judgement.

I think it is very ridiculous for someone to act like they know everything about the immigration issue. I know that I don't know everything about the issue. I have my own experience and I learned more from reading and from other people and I am not an expert.
I don't care if it is about the process of immigration with the visas and permits or about the economics and political effects of immigration and the effect on society or just about what it is like to adjust to the US and the things that you have to learn about functioning in it. None of it is simple!
People who come here and say things about immigration and clearly do not know what they are talking about iritate me but they are really just advertising their own ignorance.
Dude: Leah Ann's age is irelevant to weather she has a point and calling her a "stupid chick" does not impress me with your own intelligence..

I don't know everything about anything at all, sadly enough... I, personally have helped families with paperwork and have accompanied families to obtain the mica, or, to have interviews with immigration officials. My "knowledge" however is primarily cultural. I know that there are a couple attorneys on here, and, one nice gentleman that worked for both the IRS & INS. They are a wealth of information and, obviously, well educated.... I trust them on answers...

You know that's true ,see when I first check this forum like back in January ,my expectations was to find real solutions you know legal, advice from someone but instead all we see here is racism and replies defending the other party, and it has became a no winning game , all the pros VS the antis, and no one is helping the ones in question (Illegals) man it is really depressing what have we convert this forum into, we all know everything about immigration , but then again we know nothing. gosh.

In my experience there are no more than 5 or 6 people who regularly post to this board that can be relied upon to provide correct information.
dognhorsemom is the best poster.

Don't listen to those kinds of people. They feel they know, but most of the time, just assume. Or hear the news, and interpret it differently.
Just find out yourself, go to the government website below.

The only thing that anybody really has to know about illegal immigration is that it is wrong. That is why every country has immigration laws and expect them to be followed.

Because they read the World Net Daily and watch Lou Dobbs, that makes them experts.

I don't know everything, I actually don't know much of anything.
But I do know how to follow the law.
I do know that if you are a citizen and you get caught breaking the law no one cares and you often go to prison or jail as you should.
I do know that illegals choose to break our laws, expect amnesty, claim we are racists if we object to them breaking our laws, and come on here and tell us to get out of "Their" country and that they are here, staying here, and there is nothing we can do about it.
That's all I know, it's not much, but it's enough, I don't need to know anymore than that.
