I have a couple of old music records, the ones where they are black, large disc about a foot tall. Where can I get some information about selling them?

Please dont take this the wrong way, it is meant to help you, wouldn't Ebay be the best option for your records, I am sure there is a record/vinyl collectors section on there.

The large records were called albums or LP's (LP stood for Long Playing) the smaller ones were called Singles or 45's. They usually had two songs on them (on on either side) but you could only play a single one at a time. The term 45 referred to the speed you set the turntable to in order to play them. Singles played at 45 rpms and LPs at 33rpms. RPM means revolution per minute.
Like anything else, price is based on what someone is willing to pay for it. Much depends on who the artist is, what songs they are, rarity and condition. Having the original sleeve adds value, too.

Yeah, that's called a "record album". LOL! Guess I'm alittle older than I thought! LOL! But, you probably know the computer better than I do, so, anyways, that's the name. By the way, what cha got?
