first feng shi is all about balance and keeping the chi(energy) positive energy in the room ....the first important thing is that you dont not want your bed parallel to the door ...Your feet should never point towards the bedroom.door..because this symbolizes death...You should be able to lay in bed and see the bedroom door .. also if can avoid placing the bed under ceiling fans or light fixtures.....this also is negative chi.also avoid any sharp corners in furniture this is said to give off negative chi use smooth rounded furniture ..get rid of the clutter if needed there should be nothing in your room other than your bed...no work related stuff...... no exercise equipment .....etc...Make sure also choose a soft neutral color for walls for paint something that makes you feel peaceful and relaxed.....just make sure that the room isn't crowded with too many big pieces of furniture because destroys the balance of chi.....The most important is remember to keep the smooth flow if energy....I hope this helps

The proper words you are looking for is Feng Shui ... and you can go to any bookstore or library to get a book on 'elementary feng shui' and study it yourself ... feng shui is not a 'school of decorating' ... it's more about the 'vibrations' and how you can 'move things around' or replace them so you will have a better life.
