Not that it always helps right away, but I recognize that my hopes exceed realistic expectation when they become about 'miracles'. Things that are miraculous are man-made. Spiritual too, yes, depending on the situation and the energy shared. Wonderful things do happen sometimes but just as many tragedies do as well. A doctor doing his job is not performing 'miracles', he is utilizing science and passion to help cure someone. A good therapist helps others through times of pain by being empathic and compassionate, in a way that is and always was humane. Who gave him/her those qualities? Does it matter? A sky deity certainly didn't do it. These were qualities she had inborn, was taught, or recognized she liked in herself.
When all hope is lost, Wisenheimer (I feel silly saying that ;-P) I hope that you will make the most of each and every day and set your hopes a bit lower. Anything is possible but waiting for a 'miracle' that may never occur is wasteful. Do all that you can and know how to do, allow yourself rest and solace, and perhaps you may become the miracle you seek. All the best.

We will never NEED a miracle on this Earth. Miracles do not increase one's faith. However, hope is, actually, another matter. Sometimes a miracle can increase a person's faith.
If this is what you WANT, then pray and ask Heavenly Father for a miracle to increase your hope.
I've seen people who have seen astounding miracles still loose faith...
Remember, faith IN God not OF God.

As a Christian, that has happened to me several times, and each time I seek God's help (praying a lot, sometimes even fasting), and when I am sincere and pure enough before the Lord, the miracle always happens.
Sometimes I am required to take "faith steps", if guided by God to.

When you are in a position like that, you double up on your efforts to get out of it. Use you mind to think about what you must do. If it makes you feel better to pray to help calm yourself so you can think logically, then do it. You should understand however, that wishing, hoping, praying or doing nothing will get the same results. Just work to get yourself out of the mess.

Understand what do you want and see what you can do better. See what hope you are making or is it too much or too high? The miracle is making by yourself.

Find inspiration.
Wayne Dyer or Anthony Robbins.
The Bible, but only JW's as all other religions are filled with pagan beliefs. http://www.watchtower.org/
It's all about finding a light in the darkness. Use what ever helps you most.

I get on my knees and pray to The Father, and to The Son. These are the only ones who can grant that request.
