The one that is jumping out to me now is on Easter Sunday morning...when Jesus see's Mary Magdalen crying in the garden and asks her why she is crying and she, not realizing it is him says that they have taken her lord away. And then he tells her that its him, he's alive and she is astounded. I can't imagine what that would have been like, pure happiness.

And then he appears to the apostles and Thomas, doubting, is told to put his finger in the wounds of Christ..."Blessed are they who have not seen and yet believe"

There are many, but I love the story of the woman with the issue of blood and when Jesus came to town she pushed her way through till she could touch the hem of His Robe. The moment she touch the hem she was made whole. What faith, if all Christians had this kind of faith think of how much better the world would be. I Love the song. "If I Could Just Touch the Hem Of His Garment".

I see that somebody already put down my favorite....King David. I just love to read about him. He put 100% into whatever he did....right or wrong....did everything with his whole heart! I think that is why God loved him so much. Also, he had a soft heart for God. He lived life with a passion....I just loved when he danced in the street for God and when his wife fussed at him he told her he would do even more than that for his God. In the Psalms that he wrote...I can SO identify with a lot of what he said....I think his life and way of thinking about God has influenced me more than any other character in the Bible.

The story of King David. He lusted,he committed adultery, then he killed Bathsheba's husband by putting him out front in the heat of the battle, telling the other men to retreat from him, yet , he repented & God called him"A man after mine own heart."

It makes me see the compassion & love of God, to forgive us & love us as he does!

Yes, tonight has been a battle , there were God bashers on a question a while ago, & I also met up w/a girl who had wanted to be my friend, & for some reason;,she's blocked me, but i answered her question. It's depressing , but Christ was treated bad wrongfully, so i need to be like Him.& love her anyway.

Hosea and Gomer: the moral even a couple that are completely wrong for each other can still make it work if they never fully give up on the other. Also, there is nothing that can't be overcome in a relationship.

Good question. One of the most influential stories for me in Sacred Scripture has always been the story of Job. A perfect example of humility and long suffering. Despite loosing all, he kept his cool (for the most part) and didn't turn from God.

Two stories of God proving Himself subtly. God still small voice is a great revealation when you think you can't find Him, and a Holy Spirit encouragement to believe!

The time the people went to the mountain to hear from God.

They thought He was speaking through the thunder and lightning, but no. He was in the still, small voice that came later.

Your kids can hear a powerful sermon about living the kind of life they're called to live, but what's going to make the difference is when one adult simply whispers to a troubled kid, "If you want to talk to me, I'm here."

The still small voice that speaks to our hearts powerfully, from time to time, is often very wise, far beyond our wisdom; so it is God's Spirit guiding us, not just our own conscience.

The other story was Elijah, becoming "a doubting Thomas" when the other prophets had been killed.

Have you ever felt all alone when standing for the truth?

Elijah sure felt that way when Queen Jezebel issued a death sentence on his head, just for showing her up at Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18-19).

Elijah was hiding, and hungry, and our subtle Almighty God quietly built up his faith, to the point that he dared challenge the prophets of Baal to a test, to prove who was the true, and living God.

Then Elijah said, "We are going to have a contest to see who is the REAL God." He told them to bring enough wood to build two altars - one for Jehovah, and one for Baal. He told them to bring animals for the sacrifice - one for Jehovah and one for Baal.

The 450 prophets of Baal built their altar. They prepared the animal for the sacrifice. Then they started praying: "O Baal, hear us! O Baal, hear us!" From morning until noon they kept up the shouting.

I thought it was funny when he mocked the fase prophets "Maybe your god is hard of hearing, yell louder!"

God proved Himself that day!!! Then Elijah turned to King Ahab and said, "Get up! Eat and drink! There will be an abundance of rain!"

God Bless each and everyone of you.

Honestly- Revelation did! I studied it years back, and it was the best in depth study I have ever been to. I was on FIRE for the Lord the minute I started! And I still want to continue in sharing His word and surrounding myself with Him-- to be constantly growing spiritually in His word.
God is so awesome! That is all I have to say : )
