God eternally was,is and will be Trinity.
Jesus is the incarnation of the Word ,the Eternal second Person. Before His taking a human nature Jesus was an infinite and eternal spirit like the Father and Holy Spirit and of the same being as they as One God and He still is in His divine nature.

Their is evidence of the trinity from the beginning, God has always been a trinity

"Let Us make man in Our image, in Our likeness."
"Man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil."
"Let Us go down and confuse their language"
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made."

God has always been a spirit. He has existed in eternity past and will continue to exist in eternity future. He is a metaphysical spirit. Secondly, God did not to decide to become a trinity when Jesus came to earth as a man. God has always existed as a trinity. He has always been three as one. It's a difficult concept to grasp. It's impossible for us as finite humans to completely grasp it. But He has always been a spirit and always three parts existing as one.

The Trinity concept precedes Christianity by thousands of years, dating back to the ancient Egyptians and Greeks. In other wards, it began as a pagan concept and was later adopted by Christians, just as the hero figure of Jesus was borrowed from old pagan myths. It continues ro surprise me that few people are aware of the countless antecedents to modern Christianity.

Open to Genesis, God refers to himself in plural. You also see all through the Old Testament that some times God comes in a physical form "angel of the Lord", some times there is Gods spirit referred to, then you have God represented in Heaven.

There is little doubt that the man from Nazareth existed. He tried to reform the Jewish religion, and because he failed, he started one of his own, with various convenient concessions to make it easier.
He was a nuisance to the Jews & the Romans (who were occupying Israel), so the Romans decided to execute him according to one of their charming methods.
That would have been the end of the matter, except that hundreds of years later his followers began to embroider the story.
There were inconveniences such as that the Messiah of the Jews had to be an heir of the House of David, whereas this chap was the son of a carpenter from the North. They therefore arranged his birth in Bethlehem, Judea, territory of the House of David.
There is no such thing as a son of God (who is indivisible) and the Holy Ghost (whoever he or she was was added in later).
There is, was, and will be, no Trinity except in pagan religions.
Therefore, Christianity is another form of paganism.

Who said God was Jesus, or vice versa? not every single Human believes in that, if Jesus was meant to be God then who was controlling the world, God controls all things, God can do all things, so if Jesus died on the cross then where was God? who was controlling the world? like Mexico, Europe, etc, if Jesus was God & was being cruufied then again who was controlling the world? you see your Question has a big EGO, not everybody belives in your theories.

The trinity didn't "happen", it always was.

John 1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

John 8
“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”
Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
