You're not going to get a straight answer on here.
Some people will tell you it was written by men but inspired by God. I am going to tell you it's a book of fables and has NOTHING to do with any sort of deity. It's kind of like Aesop's Fables. A good story, a few morals thrown in, but at the end of the day, full of crap.
AdoreHim, just because I don't believe Jesus was my savior and don't believe in YOUR god, doesn't mean I don't believe in ANY god. Just not yours.

All scripture is God-breathed, which is NO where near channeling. Channeling is of the "occult" . And if you read the Bible at all, you know that the occult is not of God.
I hope and pray that this is important for you to know so that you can believe every word to be the WORD OF GOD. Yes, it was penned by man, inspired by God, and every word that comes from the mouth of God can be believed and trusted.
By most of the other answers so far, it is so sad to see so many people not believing the Word of God. What is religion worth if it is not a personal relationship with God? Rules, mean nothing that men set forth. The Bible has some laws yes, however, the WHOLE Bible points to the love that God has for man. Open your eyes and see this, and your lives will be changed forever.

Written by some men who drank to much wine in the dessert. Book of old laws and stories written by multiple men who had conflicting views but all used this 'god' character to instill fear.

supposedly channeled, but after so many translations and interpreted as what people though it was saying I'm sure God would read it and be like...what???? this is not what went down at all and after a few chapters he would be cracking up so hard his sides would be hurting him.
