Those two numbers mean that if you are looking at something 20 feet away and can just see it, how far away should you have been able to see it. For example 20/200 means that you need to get within 20 feet of a sign to see what most people could see from 200 feet away.

So every one of those numbers means that you are not seeing as well as the average person. At 20/30 and 20/40 you might be able to get away without having your glasses on all the time. However at 20/200 you are on the borderline of legally blind (if your better eye, wearing glasses, can't see at least 20/200 then you qualify as legally blind).

I would go with glasses always on for all of them. Anything above 20/40 then someone would really wish they had their glasses on.

The Birds of Prey do certainly have the excellent eyesight technically talking. When talking of the Cats, it isn't the eyesight within the capability to peer a long way, or motion.. as within the Birds of Prey, however rather within the Light Gathering Capabilities that units them aside. I f you spotted, the student of the Cat is vertical, which offers it the capability to acquire gentle from the perimeters as good as above.. ie. the Sun, and in addition had a Reflective Retina, which concentrates the sunshine that does input the to a unmarried factor. If you could have ever had an historical 35mm digital camera and seemed into the lens, you might see that there are a sequence of ridges that mirror all incoming gentle to the movie airplane in order that there is not any " Bounce Back" of the sunshine out of the lens which might reason "Glare". In whole darkness, neither the mouse nor the cat can see; nevertheless, if there's simply the slightest bit of sunshine coming in.. the talents is going to the Cat! While the mouse is determined by it is olfactory experience of odor and the whiskers for think..the Cat has the sunshine accumulating retina and vertical " Cat's Eye" student!!

I think they generally start perscribing them at 20/40. I have 20/50, and I cant read road signs when I drive, so I have to wear them.
