Can Satan be content *AND* jealous of God? Can Satan be content *and* want to unseat God?

Is jealousy possible if one is 100% content?

I ask because people in my last question tried to say that Satan was 100% content and jealous of God. This is impossible if you understand the definitions of both words. If Satan wanted to be God, then he was not in a "a state of satisfaction".

So, true or false: At the time of the revolt, and as evidenced by his jealousy and pride, Satan was not 100% content with his existence in Heaven.

@ lexie_17517: I haven't heard of ANYONE from Heaven - happy or unhappy.

I will concede the point, for argument's sake that almost everyone who has been to Heaven loves it. But since it is impossible to know, and we do have evidence of at least one entity being discontented, it opens up wiggle room. I don't pretend to have the answer. But one entity being discontented with Heaven is no small detail.

No, he was not content, or he wouldn't have rebelled.

Hypothetically speaking I'd say that Satan was very discontented and a bit stupid. One as you pointed out, content beings don't raise a rebellion. Stupid for two reasons, one he was an angel who was in the presence of god all the time (and strangely afterward as well according to Job) and 2, angels supposedly have no free will (the reason for creating man with free will) and yet he exercised it anyway.

If you ask me, it sounds like a rather contrived or made up situation.

As i recollect God cast Satan to Earth,so who has more right to be the ruler of this worthless planet God or SATAN.
But i know i will get a bashing from the Christians over this comment, and no Satan did not want to stay in Heaven,as it
was all ready over crowded with dead Xians.

Apparently he was not content, and although he took a third of the angels down with him, that is a minuscule number of discontented beings.Since I haven't heard of anyone else complaining who has passed on to Heaven,as I logically assume you haven't, you really have no viable argument.

Satan was pissed off because the Xtians Stole him from his original roman post as the GOD of Knowlege, Light, Air, Invention and all things carnal, and reduced him to "just some angel" some pawn of a new god.

They steal everything, probably why their whole religion is falling apart.

God is almigthy and can never have an error in his creation and satan could not revolt against God he knows the power of God almigthy means no equal and being all knowing he would not allow chaos in His domain.search further and you'll find that there was never indeed a war in heaven only in the minds of man who levels satan to God.

So this guy walks into a bar and who should be sitting at a table but the devil himself. The guy thinks this is too good an opportunity to miss so he goes up and starts chatting and asking questions.
Satan just wants a quiet drink but the man keeps insisting
"Tell me the truth about God"
"Well for one thing," responds the devil, "she's black..."

You were right the first time. It is impossible to be content AND jealous.
AND, btw, Satan had no pride....only greed and selfishness.
Since he was jealous of us, kinda makes you wonder why we weren't just exterminated, instead of being made to sway our allegiance to God.

He was totally content to the point he wanted it for his own, only when he was on earth did he turn on God just like most people in society today.
