I don't know if they would teach about Jesus in schools. But I do think they should bring back the moment of silence and a prayer in the morning. When I was in high school we started a bible study and we met in the mornings before school and prayed. Schools need God. no matter what anyone says. Kids need to know that God loves them.. There is to many kids rejecting themselves, to many teen pregnancies and too many school shootings. I think it would be wonderful if God was brought into schools more. But if anything I pray that they would bring back the moment of silence and prayer.

Yes we do and Statistics prove it. When we had school prayer and morning Devotionals there was less crime in the schools and the students were better behaved and they did nto join Gangs and do drugs and other things that are harmful to them and to the society as a whole. People ask where was God when the killers were running around in Columbine High School, well the answer is the Educators had kicked him out. It is interesting to note that schools have signs that no weapons are allowed on school property, yet they are there. criminals do no respect the Law. God is a Gentleman He does not go where He is not welcome. I blame the school system as equally GUILTY in the death of the students fornot keeping God in the Schools. When they took the Lord out they let the Devil in.

I am a Christian parent. No way would I suggest Jesus being taught in our government run schools. We have private Christian schools for those parents who feel their kids would benefit from a Christian education.
But, a solid Christian kid in school who knows how to let the light shine, without being obnoxious, is a great thing.
Your heart is in the right place, but we must know how to keep in balance. Keep praying for more believers to rise up among our students and pray for their protection, wisdom and opportunities to share the Gospel.

whoa there, nelly.
first, if we allow Jesus in schools, we will also have to add all other Gods and Goddesses. that is what the Constitution says. that is the rule of this land.
second, if you want your children to have a religious education, you can send them to parochial school. no one is stopping you.
third, this is what you believe. it isn't what everyone believes. children should be taught religion by their PARENTS first and foremost. no religion has the right to interfere with how parents teach their children regarding religious/spiritual issues.
keep praying for the lost. i think they wandered off in the corn field - and you know how hard it is to find someone lost in a corn field.

I would say there are a number of Christians going to School so if there are Chris tans there is The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the Christians need to do is speak out. If the government does not let the speak out they need to get out and find them a Christan School.

If you put your God into the schools, you need to discuss other Gods or visions of God as well.
As a Hellenic Pagan, I would be EXTREMELY upset if MY child was told BY THE SCHOOL that Jesus was the only God unless I had voluntarily placed my child into a Christian-sponsored school.
I realize that you are passionate about your faith, HOWEVER, this does most assuredly not prevent other people from being just as passionate about ours.

Agree, agree agree. There is so much going on in the world today, worse than it was when I was a kid. Kids today need all the help they can get and Jesus is the answer, I am very thankful that my kids have all been saved.
Just to let you know that one of your answerers is not quite the christian she claims to be.
SisterKia1 was involved in a raid in the NASCAR section today. What kind of christian do you call that??????

I don't think Jesus needs to be put back to school, he is already in heaven.
Jk. No seriously, I think no religion should be taught in school, regardless of the religion. Teaching religion is schools is a recipe for disaster, look at SOME muslims nations and you will know what I'm talking about. I believe Islam is the truth and the way, but I will never support teaching it in public schools.

no. we need to put Jesus back into the lives of children. that will come through teaching in the home. By doing that Christ will be back in the schools naturally.

Religion belongs in the home and in churches and their affiliated educational centers. The only way it belongs in schools is in a comparative religions/humanities class where the basics of the belief are taught and not that they need to follow it.
Keep school for education, we are already having a hard enough time keeping up in a global economy as it is.
