i dyed my hair for the very first time on 8/10 (last, last friday) and i wanna dye it again cuz the color hasn't really shown much only in the light you can really see it. i wanna dye it a shade lighter so you can actually see the color sometime this week....is it ok or should i wait longer?

It's fine, but be sure to take care of your hair before and after the change so that it won't become too dry and fall off. Use the shampoo and conditioner recommended.

this happened to me i went from a very dark brown to auburn and i could only tell in the light and at my roots! i did this at home with semi permnant color then i talked to a stylist and she said that because my hair is so dark that i would have to get it done professionally and permanant since its harder to dye it lighter. but that worked so i suggest you do this. but i dyesdmine on a tuesday and then go it done professionally the following wed. and my hair is not that damaged! so i think you will be fine!!

I think you can dye it again. Your hair has had enough time to get back to normal. Just as long as you condition the hair after you dye it.

You should wait a few more weeks or your hair will be completely fried from all the chemicals and it will be weak, brittle, and you'll end up with a bunch of split ends, and flyaways.

i would wait a little while. you dont want to damage your hair.
