That's the good thing about the beach. Most are family oriented. But... Try Doheny beach, just south of Dana Point. Its a camp ground area run by the state and is definitely family oriented.
The beaches of Huntington are great as well. Very family oriented and they won't even allow people to drink in their RVs in the parking lot. And when your are in Huntington you have access to main street and all the shops and restaurants that are right next to the beach. Have fun. I don't think that you can go wrong with either of these choices.
