While you're sleeping, I'd read your book and take your drink.

I'd ask about your sweetie and that lovely daughter of yours and would ask about what scientific breakthroughs are in the PNAS.. then we'd have a good laugh at some of the R&S antics, and we'd go back to our readings. Mine would be National Geographic, Call Center Magazine and ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) magazine.
I'd order club soda with lime, or coffee (but only if it's starbuck's). AND I GET THE WINDOW SEAT!

Possibly tell you of my work in chemical engineering and of my friend who is the head of molecular chemistry at one of the top ten British Universities and if the situation allows may get into my and his creationist and intelligent design beliefs. It depends on your attitude really and I would be fascinated to know why anyone on a flight like that (which I often take) would want to read such work related journals. Also I am a data miner and have been around a while and would probably find out that I knew your next door neighbor's cousin in Cincinatti. I will take a red wine as long as it is decent. Cheers.

I put my tray table up, knock my seat back a notch, close my eyes, and dream of being on a transatlantic flight where I am stuck between John O and Jack B . . . . anyone need to use the facilities?
Oh, the, kid'll eat the middle of an oreo cookie . . . .

Read what ever I have that I am reading. Would you be offended if I read the Bible or maybe the book I am reading now " The blessed life"?
And if the coffee is good I might join you with a cup myself, pass the cream please. And as for airline food, ack! But I would need a snack myself, would you like a cookie? I brought some along.

I'd buy you a drink and try to talk you into giving me your reading material =) Maybe I'd even try to bribe you with my airline peanuts, since after all, it is a transatlantic flight, and you're avoiding the in flight "meal"....so you'll be hungry =)

Trans-Atlantic flight? I'd take a nap, and a long dump, and poke my nose over your shoulder to read what you're reading. This will do two things; 1) keep my mind occupied and 2) annoy the hell out of you.

Since you probably don't want to talk, I would leave you alone. If you asked anything I would be able to talk to you since you have some sensible reading material.
But I am the annoying person on the commercials who falls asleep and leans on my neighbor (Just Kiddin' LOL)

Darlin, I'm not sure where you're going with this but... If you mean would I leave you alone or try to engage you in conversation--I'd respect the fact that you are catching up on your reading, and also on your rest. If when you ordered your coffee, I might smile and speak, but would leave it open to your terms and actions.

If you are immersed in your reading I would leave you be and let you read. Myself I'd probably be reading CircuiTree Magazine or some other book I've brought along. If you felt like having a conversation I would be more than happy to.

I would assume that you weren't interested in talking with me or anyone else so I'd do my own thing. If you were sitting by the window then I would be rubbernecking to see out the window.
