...in Heaven?
There is at least one recorded entity unhappy with existence in Heaven. This suggest that no matter how awesome heaven is, it hasn't pleased all its residents.
Since it is impossible to know what Heaven is like, shouldn't we acknowledge the possibility that existence in Heaven could disappoint?

If you don't believe in Heaven and want to answer, just go along with the hypothetical Christian Heaven.

@ sillysausage "How could happiness disappoint?" I'm not concerned with how.
Satan wasn't fully content. At least one entity was not content. What evidence is there that eliminates this possibility for us? I'm not proposing a take over of Heaven, but the story of Satan proves dissatisfaction in Heaven is possible because it occurred once.

@ michael m: If Satan was content he would not want to become God. If you are fully content, you are satisfied and want nothing more.

@ Biblegirl: If submitting to God is a condition of existing in Heaven, than Satan was not satisfied with his existence there.

@ Godme
If he was satisfied with God being on His throne, then why would he try to boot Him?
The existence of God in Heaven kept Satan from being satisfied with his own existence in Heaven. Is that a hard concept to follow? I'll try and reword it if it can't be understood.

<><...sad you veiw the matter in such way because Lucifer had so much going for him in Heaven.
He got booted out for trying to boot the Creator of the universe of His throne, that would be God, ... the very one who created him too.
I'm sorry, what did you say he was disappointed about?

I saw your reply on the last question you asked. The answer is a term that was not applied to those who were creations before: Incorruptible.
That is from a promise in the Bible. There seems to be something that Adam didn't have, which leads me to believe that God knew Adam would fall even before the worlds were formed.
Adam was corruptible. Those who are in Christ ( I will spare you the scripture, you don't seem to want it) , are to be raised Incorruptible. That's new. It wasn't there before. I get to be one of those. ( Yay!)
I wonder what that's like? I don't know. I guess I'll find out when I get there.
Satan didn't even have it. And the theory is: One third of Heaven rebelled against God. That mean two thirds of Heaven didn't rebel. I wonder why? Maybe they were content! I really don't know. I guess I'll have to ask when I get there.
As far as Heaven being disappointing, I don't doubt that a golden city 1400 x 1400 x 1400 miles in dimension, and 12 gates leading out to God knows where, and the fact that He will be right there, right there, where I can see Him and talk to Him and even maybe go out the gates with him, and all the angels and God knows what else walking around there might interest me for a while. And I am not really impressed by gold that much. I think that it may be nice looking, but I really don't LOVE it! I mean, it's an element, fire opals are prettier to me. But nonetheless, there's all that gold stuff everywhere as far as you can see.
what makes me wonder is what's outside the gates? And what is my place going to look like? And will there be misty fog, and can I talk to the angels, and were is Sir Isaac Newton, and the Apostle Paul. Will there be football? Will I be able to fly? Can I go really fast? Can I create something too? I'm pretty good with plants, maybe I'll breed some. I DON'T know! But it's GOT to be better than here. And it's GOT to be better than Hell.

According to Vedic scriptures, which are very detailed, Heaven is not the abode of God which is beyond this material universe. God's abode is a place where NO one would EVER want to fall from. It is a very dynamic and engaging place. But heaven, (though beautiful and full of pleasures) has four faults. *laziness *jealousy *fear *and it is temperary The Vedic version of Satan, would be Kali. Kali first appeared 5,000 years ago, in the form of a dark wretched man dressed in the garb of a king. He was beating the legs of a cow, when emperor Parikshit discovered him. Kali begged Parikshit Maharaj to spare his life, and for some odd reason, he did. Under the condition that he only stay in places only where the four evil irreligious practices were going on. Kali stays in *a place where meat eating is going on * a place where illicit sex is going on *any place where gambling is going on * and any place where intoxication is taken a fifth place was also included and that was... *where money is being hoarded. So anyway, our details of Kali, heaven etc... edit: so yeah you can choose with your free will heaven hell earth or beyond my wish is to be free of ignorance or distorted intelligence, so that I can make a good choice. So far, I don't like the five houses of Kali.

I don't know that what you've said is an accurate statement.
From my studies on the subject, satan was not necessarily "dissatisfied", but rather was too pompous in himself.
He did not choose to leave heaven - he was cast out because he was insolent, prideful and basically "too big for his britches". The Lord sent him out of heaven to "have a go at ruling the world".
The problem being for him, satan, is that ultimately -he is still a created being -God still is Supreme in His Sovereignty and satan will be cast out again...only this time into nothingness and will have no choice/power in the matter again.
We, as people are allowed to defy God all we like while here on earth (sometimes we face consequences -but often times it appears we do not). This does not mean that when the time comes to meet the Maker that we will get any real say so as to where we spend this eternity...especially if we refuse the gift of salvation that is offered to us.

Your one statement is of a truth..
If you do not want good of others and things here on earth you will not in heaven.
God is truth: if you do not want truth for good you will not in heaven
God is righteous and if you do not want righteousness to others here on earth you will not in heaven..
However I must add this..
Satan is very content in heaven, it is God that wants him and his demons out of heaven ...
Re 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Re 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Re 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
And out of earth...
Re 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Re 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Re 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

I understand what you're saying since I have wondered this myself at times. The recorded entity you speak of wasn't content for the simple reason that he himself wanted to be God. He wasn't content to be the most beautiful angel. He wasn't content to be God's favorite angel. He wasn't content to be in charge of all the other angels. He had everything God's favor could give him,but it wasn't enough for him. He wanted to be above all, including God Himself. Greed and pride was his downfall. I have no such aspirations. I am not greedy. I am not prideful,at least not to the point where I think I'm better than anyone else.In other words, unlike satan,I DO NOT want to be God. I am sure,if I make it to Heaven, that I will be quite content with what He provides for me.

Satan's biggest problem was pride. He didn't want to submit to God 'cause he thought he was every bit as clever as God was. He didn't have a problem with heaven, he had a problem with God. As long as we spend time with God, listen to his voice, and love him back, we won't have a problem with God. And heaven is going to be really cool. Didn't you ever feel like you wanted more time to get something done? Well, picture eternity to learn everything there is to know, to meet some of the greatest people in history, to make new friends who might have actually lived 600 years ago on Earth.

Wow if your basing whether or not you would be happy in heaven by using Satan as an example, you really need to read the bible and do some research. Satan is a being that was created by God to bring sin, destruction, pain, sorrow, etc into the world in order for his plan of redemption through Jesus to be done in this world. He is not a popular fellow with God. He was not content because he was made to not be content and to lead a rebellion. He was full of murder, malice, anger, pride, lust, etc... I don't think you want to base your opinions of heaven on him. Also heaven is not suppose to be a fun amusement park, where we are all supposed to be waited on by angels and where our pleasure is the number one priority. Heaven is where God is. The holy creator of the universe. We will be in his presence and will be able to look in the face of Christ who died for our sins and has made us righteous. We will be in heaven worshipping God and standing in awe of his majesty. I think you have everything all wrong here. Crack open the bible and start to read it! I hope God will open your eyes to his truth. No one who is truly a child of God will be disappointed with heaven. And for those who think God made a boo boo. That is hilarious and you are sadly mistaken. God plans everything, he is soverign and He gets what he wants no matter what. LOL

The fact that Satan chose to leave the grace of God shows how he (God) gave his intellegent creations(angels and humans)free will.Simply thats like asking just because I don't like taco bell does that mean nobody else will either? It was a choice Satan and the angels that followed him made.A choice of greed.
Now with that said,.... pick a day that you want to die.....Hmm,you can't can you.Unless your missing a few upstairs or are suicidal. What does that prove? That it's not even in human makeup, to want to die. Man was made to live forever. Scientist can't even understand why the human body grows old and dies.Thats why when we cut ourselves or break a bone or get a cold our body heals itself eventually.
My point is, is that Gods purpose for humankind was and is to live forever on earth. He didn't tell Adam and Eve to fill the earth and after you do that I'm going to kill you so you can be w/ me in heaven, did he? Why do you think Jesus said in the "Lords Prayer" that his will be done on EARTH as it is in heaven. If every human dies and goes to heaven what would his purpose for the earth be?
So thats my point. It's not even in human nature to want to die and experience what heavens like.Because thats not our purpose. Look it up it's in Your bible. Also thats what almost all of the book of revelations is about. God finnally destroying Satan and restoreing the earth to his original purpose.....a PARADISE!!.....Just think about it. And I encourage you to look it up in your own copy of the bible.
Also yes it does show that he was not content with life in heaven. Just like when people commit crimes and get sent to jail. It shows that they were not simply content with freedom.
Also lets say you had a picture perfect life growing up. Both parents were together. You did things as a family you had plenty of food to eat. And all your brothers and sisters got along together. The best senario you can think of as a perfect family. Now one of your siblings decide to run away, for whatever reason. Does that mean just because he or she did that anybody else lookinging in would do the same?Maybe maybe not. But I'm sure most wouldn't because it would be perfect to most.

The believer is an heir of Christ.
Not just a friend (John 15:15), but a child of God - an heir to the kingdom. (Luke 12:32)
Just being in His presence is enough but He promises more.
John 14:2
We cannot even comprehend the things He has in store.
1Corinthinans 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Disappointed?
I cannot imagine how.
