Have you guys heard this expression of having "virgin lips?"
Its a new term for me but it basically means that a person never kisses someone and basically is saving their first kiss for their wife/husband on their wedding day. I'm in that position because I have never kissed a girl and I a male who is his mid 20's. I think it is something I would consider but I haven't come up with a definite answer to do it. I would like to know if other people are doing it and also what would you think if someone told you that they were giving their future spouse the gift of their first kiss. Saving themselves from physical relationships so that their spouse can be the first person to ever kiss them. Any thoughts?

I have. I once heard a guy say that the first kiss (and sexual experience) he ever had, he wanted to be with his wife, whom he was going to spend "forever" with and would not kiss anyone or do anything with a girl until he was. He was very religious, and I assumed that's why he wanted it to be that way.

It's an honorable thing to say...a person must have a very high sense of respect for someone to save EVERYTHING for one person.

If you feel like that's what you want to do, then don't let anyone deter you from it.

Saving for your wedding day? That's a bit much. Personally, there is always that chance that when you do kiss, it isn't anything you expected. I have had that happen more than a few times. I thought it was going to be the best kiss ever, with the best person ever, but it ended up being lame. I feel experience prior to marriage is the way to go. Now, I'm not saying you have to experiment with tons of people, I'm just saying experimenting with the person you may possibly spend the rest of your life with is a good choice. Like I said, what if it turns out just so-so - oh well, too late now, your married. Front that point on, I believe problems in the marriage would arise.

Saving yourself (sex wise) for your partner, yes, that's fine, but, you still need to experiment, i.e. kissing, touching, and possibly orally to make sure it's a 100% match.

I would say that if you are having a physical relationship with a person but you are saving a kiss for that "special" someone thats a little rude to the person that you are currently with and I don't think that its very sweet at all, unless you are saving your entire body then what is the point?

This old guy has never heard the term. Sounds like an impossible task but what do I know. As majority of us have numerous relationships throughout our lifetimes and as youth are often confused and usually believe that our initial puppy loves are the ones we will be with for eternity. If you are capable of truly doing this I say more power to you but you may surprise your future wife by being an inexperienced kisser. Best of luck.

Wow. I'm all for and respect people that save their virginity (sex), but a kiss? Kissing isn't that bad to do before marriage. But, if you're really considering this, there's a big possibility your future wife has already given her lip virginity away.

I think you are really overemphasizing the importance of that first kiss. A kiss is just a kiss.

I'd be afraid that people would be setting themselves up for a let down by building up kissing and sex for that matter so much. It's just a natural thing that everyone does. It's just not that big a deal. Spending too much time and energy on sex is not really healthy.

Good luck in your search for a spouse :)

Before you get married, Yes kissing is natural and holding
someone. You can save yourself from physcial relationships(sex). But you will always wonder what is was to kiss another
woman.
Try it...you will like it.
