Life is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get. Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump in the film "Forrest Gump" (1994)

I didn't much care for the movie, but this is a memorable quote and one most people can relate to. But as far as I'm concerned, if I bite into a nasty flavor, I discretely put it back into the chocolate box and let my husband eat it later. Doesn't work for life, though.

A very poignant quote about education is

"I am still learning." This was said by Michelangelo at age 87. Can't beat it for showing lifetime learning.

"It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power."

Sorry, I don't know the author.
