Try getting acrylics put on.. although you may just bite those too.

You can buy bitter tasting nail polish which should help you. It's a mental thing, a habit, that you need to break. You probably don't even realize that your doing it. So if you catch yourself doing it make sure you stop yourself... find something else to do.

I've heard of people who quit biting their nails because their parents offered them money, like $500. THAT MIGHT DO IT

:)

Nail polish is a great deterent - especially since it normally tastes nasty. They also sell stuff that goes on like nail polish but has a HORRIBLE taste that is specifically designed to help deter you from biting.

I've been biting my nails almost my whole life and it really helped be stop. The stuff really tastes bad and the taste lingers.

As for the not growing, it'll probably take some time and your nails may even be weak for a while. Use nail polish with strengthener to help protect them.

You can try to put on nail polish and if that doesn't work, you can go to the beauty supply store and get a type of nail polish that tastes really bad. That discourages you to bite your nails. You can also try to get fake nails. For your nail growing problems, try putting on Sally Hansen's nail hardener. You can buy that at target. It works, but if you want something even more effective, you can go to the sally supply store and get the stuff there. It might be a little more expensive, but it really works. My mom got her stuff there and I've used it before and it really worked for me. Good Luck.

This may sound silly but I tried everything that's usually recommended but nothing worked until two summers ago when I worked at a summer camp. My nails had dirt under them constantly so I never wanted (or had time) to bite them. I don't know if that helps any- maybe you can take up gardening?

well what you can try to do is let them grow for a while and you don't like the way they came out go to a nail salon and they'll fix it and it's a bad habbit get polish remover and cotton balls shake it up and down and clean your nail with it let it dry [it drys fast] keep it on their til nite time and when you bit your nails it's not going to be good so do that and you stop having that habbit i use 2 have good luck ok just remember to stop bitting your nails thats the way my moms; mom did it to her good luck

you have to get over the habit of biting them. Nail polish can work and then it will grow.. dont worry.. it has to grow.. it cant grow in juss a couple of dayz. give it some time. GL
