You can find out just how much you impact the environment by actually putting in your activities such as driving, flying, electricity/gas use, etc into an environmental footprint calculator. There is a good one hosted by Business Objects and Zerofootprint at:
http://insight.businessobjects.com/challenge?extcmp=07q3_insight_ya_0821
You can save your results as well as pledge to make certain changes that will reduce your footprint.

Well it those in a way but you need a large group of individuals to make a difference by stop using blow dryers. But there is something you can do but I think you will disagree. Shave your hair off and use a wig. This way you won't need to use a blow dryer (I have short hair so I don't really use the blow dryer).

It's a little drop in the ocean I'm afraid, but then the ocean is made of little drops.
It may not help global warming much, but it puts your own conscience at peace that you are doing your best to slow it down.
You can compare it to the fact that a smile and a kind word given help this world to be a better place.

You can use a hair dryer and not effect global warming only if you use it on the 'cool' setting.
