Do you have to have a degree to become a DJ for a radio station?? i didnt know if u needed a degree in broadcasting or not? Also, if u dont need a degree does anyone know how to become a DJ for a radio station?

Unless you have an established following turning vinyl at the club. I would recommend you volunteer intern and request some air time with the staff. You more than likely will need a broadcast journalism degree to be taken seriously.

College would help you get the job. Big city stations won't hire inexperienced radio talent. You gotta prove yourself. Even small town stations will, often times, have you audition (work fr free) for a few weeks to see if you have what it takes.
