Sometimes places like that will give discounts to active duty military personnel if they wear their uniform, also in the Chicago area, the great lakes navel station is a place full of fresh seamen graduates who will go there after they graduate boot camp.

90% of those sailors ars recruits from Great Lakes Naval Station. They are required to wear their uniforms on liberty because it makes them easy to spot if they start acting up. The SP's will be able to find them easier if they're in uniform !

I didn't wear my uniform to Discovery, because I didn't get it until that night. Wear it just in case, you won't get in trouble for wearing it. Bring a change of nice "office-casual clothes" to change into if you don't need to wear the uniform and you feel uncomfortable.

Hey, why not??? They have every reason to be proud of being in the military. I spent eight years in the Army and wore my uniform every time I went home on leave.

#1 - They are in training.
#2 - They are proud of what their uniforms stand for
#3 - They get a discount
#4 - It is good for civilians to see people in uniform. Keeps people's minds open and aware of what our military service does for us. It is harder to push the war out of your mind when you see people in uniform

Irish has it right. If they're out in uniform, they're usually in training. We have the same thing here in San Antonio, all the Air Force basic trainees at the Riverwalk in their Class A's.
