Sometimes when i wake up in the morning my skin is slightly dry. On these days would it be better to skip the cleanser and just rinse with warm water followed by an astringent and sunscreen? I don't want to over dry my skin but i dont want to break out from lack of cleansing either.

Yes, on the mornings your skin feels dry - just apply toner & sunscreen.

i just rinse my face with warm water [no cleaner] in both day & night, and follow with a moisturizer at night, and my skin still looks nice.
chances are you won't break out from lack of cleansing, because even water will make your face cleaner.
you can still do the astringent and sunscreen [good job with that! sun screen = very important], but remember to add a moisturizer in there too.

I think it might be a lack of toner. Are you using one? If you clean your skin and take off essential oils, you are drying it out. If you do not add a toner to your process, you are not restoring the pH to your skin. After the toner, then moisturize. It should make a difference. Also, pay attention to the kind of night moisturizer you are using - it should be a little heavier so it works a little harder while you are sleeping. I also use Arbonne's stuff and love it.

Hi fellow Hippie! Start by using a moisturizer at night. Use the astringent only every other day, not daily. Hopefully, this will work for you. M oisturizers with dyes and/or perfume break you out, you can use eucerin creme. Basic Soap is not scented, either.

i use Arbonne, and it works great! its a three step process and it doesnt dry your skin out. it also doesnt use animal waste (yes you heard me correctly, you have the remains of animals sitting on ur skin) *shudders*

anyway, if you dont want to use arbonne-

if you use a toner and moisturizer after the cleanser it should work fine.
