In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful

And remember when We gave Moses the Book and the Discrimination, that you may be rightly guided.

And remember when Moses said to his people, 'O my people, call to mind Allah's favour upon you when He raised Prophets among you and made you kings, and gave you what He gave not to any other among the peoples;

And remember the time when Moses prayed for water for his people and We said, 'Strike the rock with thy rod;' and there gushed forth from it twelve springs, so that every tribe knew their drinking place. And they were told, 'Eat and drink of what God has provided, and commit not iniquity in the earth, creating disorder.'

Would you question the Messenger sent to you as Moses was questioned before this? And whoever takes disbelief in exchange for belief has undoubtedly gone astray from the right path.

Moses Said, 'The Lord of the East and of the West, and of all that is between the two, if only you have sense.'

Moses said to them, 'Now throw you what you have to throw.'

Then Moses threw down his rod, and lo! it swallowed up all that which they had fabricated.

Moses said, 'My Lord knows best who it is that has brought guidance from Him, and whose will be the reward of the final abode. Verily, the wrongdoers never prosper

Moses (Musa) is a prophet. Moses is important to Islam as being one of Muhammad's forerunners, bringing the same message to humans as Muhammad would be doing 2000 years later. Hence, Muslims consider Moses as a confirmation of the authenticity of the revelations received by and transmitted from Muhammad

I'm pretty certain you already know the answer to this question. Are you just taking a poll to see what everyone else knows?

Anyhow, he is a very important prophet according to Islam, (although some of what he taught got corrupted by people in later generations - which is why there are some differences between what the Quran says and what the Torah says - the Quran is supposed to correct some of the corrupted passages in the Torah).

The name of Hazrat Musa (as) has appeared 136 times in 37 different chapters of the Holy Quran. Hazrat Moosa (as) is among the five great prophets. Allah Subhanahu taala has admired his sincere efforts and great contribution in the Quran.

And mention in the Book Musa. For He ( Hazrat Musa ) was an apostle, a prophet , and a chosen man. (QURAN 19:51)

Hazrat Musa ( as ) preached to his nation, the Ten Commandments, which are described in the Holy Quran. He taught his people that, There is no god except Allah and I (Musa) am His messenger.

Just as the Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (sws), Torah ( Taurait ) was revealed to Hazrat Musa ( as ). Quran has confirmed that Taurat was a true Divine book which was revealed to the Prophet Musa (as ).

“He has revealed to you the Book with the truth, confirming what preceded it; and he has already revealed the Torah (Laws of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) for the guidance of mankind, and the distinction between right and wrong.” (QURAN 3:3)

“It was We who revealed the Torah (law to Moosa): therein was guidance and light”. (QURAN 5:44)

All prophets have the same importance in Islam. We love them all equally.

The Moses of Islam is not the Moses that was before Muhammad. Moses foretold of the coming of Christ in his story of God telling Abraham to sacrifice Issac. Moses also told of the two trees in ths midst of the garden which also foretells of man's fall and God's plan for our salvation.

Among the most detestable villains in history, you could not find one worse than Moses. Here is an order, attributed to 'God' to butcher the boys, to massacre the mothers and to debauch and rape the daughters
