My dog is use to eating beef and chicken, so now I want him to eat healthier. I brought him some dry dog food, but he's not eating it any advice?

Hi u should keep doing the "put down the dog food for 15 minutes, take it away if she doesn't eat, then put it back the next feeding" and at the same time u may try mixing her food with her favorite treats. try to reduce the can food as most of the time it has excessive sodium within. A healthy dog can go up to 3-5 days without eating, but please make sure u have enough water for her.

what kind of dry food is it? If it can be found at a grocery store it is crap. Mostly fillers. And it contains alot of grains that your dog is not used to eating. You can try GO! Natural. It is mostly protien and they have a grain free variety.
You could also do a raw diet. Just make sure you add the proper supplements. Do your reserch AND consult with people who feed raw

I would advise AGAINST feeding canned food. most of the time canned food is basically just a can of wet treats. Before resorting to mixing wet with dry, try just adding a little bit of water. Your dogs teeth might not be strong enough to chew dry food now.

You can try mixing wet with the dry but I found that it didn't wing him off the wet food very well. I found that getting something like grave train that you ad a little liquid to and stir up it makes a gravy for the food my dog loves it still.

Try putting some water in the dry food, not a bunch, but just get the food a little wet.

make sure his bowl is full, and don't feed him anything else, not even a snack or treat he'll be eating it within a few days, when he is hungry enough

Try canned dog food. Always give treats from your plate, of course. Everything I eat, my dog always gets some of. She'll eat just about anything! :D
