I'm looking for work and also use the computer to job search. Is it just me, or have the job ads been disappearing? There are hardly any new ones. And now when a lot of people are going back to school and leaving jobs there should be more. Is the stock market crisis to blame?

The housing debacle has given way to a credit crunch, this also affect business's and has ended up putting more people in the unemployment line. Consumer confidence is down which affects retail sales. Low sales less need to add employees. With more and more people facing foreclosure, hone interest rates rising the high price of gas and oil there is less available disposable income to keep the economy rolling, thus less jobs being created.

Its just the demand of computer jobs has gone down in the certain state you live in. Try going on monster.com and submit your resume so that the computer jobs that are open can contact you and schedule interviews and such.

School starting means there would be LESS jobs--college students work for cheap.

Try looking in your classifieds or on other websites.
