Is it better to go through a Credit Union or a Regular Bank for a auto loan? The APR is the same and the monthly payment would be the same. Does your credit score benefit more from the regual bank?

Auto finance is what I do for a living, and as long as they both report to the credit bureaus it makes no difference.

it doesn't make a difference score wise as long as they are both reporting to the bureaus.

as for who to choose that is really a preference issue. i have had better experience with credit unions. they are more customer oriented.

just make sure you read the fine print on any loan you sign.

I've always gotten better interest rates at the credit union. But if all things are equal, just chose the most convenient for you.
