Could be that they FINALLY learned that beauty is only skin deep ? sometimes the attractive ones are so conceited they are not worth being married to. OR, the attractive one wants to be that, "the attractive one" and are conceited and want all the attention.

Looks aren't everything. A lot of the time you may date someone who isn't attractive to you, but it's because you get to know them and see what they look like on the inside that makes you attracted to the overall person.

some people love the feeling of being really wanted, so they go for less attractive people. its wrong, i know, but usually emotions then form, i like to think there is 2 types of love, love struck which is when your made for each other, straight away love till the end. or long love, which i love formed over time. and this is why they might marry etc.

Well then that means that the other person is marrying someone more attractive than them. =) So it works both ways. like the old saying goes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" so even if you think the other person is ugly, they must find them attractive if they're marrying them.

Because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What's inside is far more important than the outer appearence.
I'd much rather date a man who treated me well and wasn't as "socially" attractive, than a 'pretty boy' who was all wrapped up in himself :)

maybe because if your planning to spend the rest of your life with someone you realize that beauty fades and in the end you want someone you have lots in common with someone that makes you laugh and someone who makes you feel loved and special all the time...if your marrying someone you do find them attractive...you wouldnt commit yourself to a person forever if you didnt have a special atraction to them....everyones opinion of beauty is different....people see different thing in people they're in love with....It depends on maturity. you realize whats most important in relationships and....hottness..isnt the most important

Becky B. They came to see that the most important body part is a beautiful heart ! At least I hope that is what they think ! But unfortunetly for some it is all about money !

Because they are settling for one that might be good for them in other qualities, but not in looks...so they compromise....maybe they are not settling..but they are ok with who they picked....

because it's not all about looks, there are other, not so visual, qualities that may be attractive

I suppose it's either due to delusion, desire for money, or true love;oh or it could be an arranged marriage I suppose.
