All fundamentalist religions are scary - yeah Christians are every bit as scary if not more so than al Queerda.
Why are they so scary?
The reason they are scary is that they are unhampered by truth, facts, evidence or logic. I saw a bumber sticker once that said, "The Bible; God said it, I believe it, and that's it!"

I imagined all sort of bumber stickers such as,
"The Quran: Muhammad wrote it even though he was illiterate - its a MIRACLE!"
or
"Lotus Sutra: Buddha did it in front of everyone but we still can't figure out what it was!"
or
"The Torah, Moses blew it!"
or
"Shinto; 100 million Japanese fanatics couldn't be wrong."
or
"Aryan Nation; God is a Nazi."
or
"Born again Christian Zombies, I keep killing them but they keep being born again!"
or
Mormons: Joseph Smith translated the Golden Plates, a history of the Americas. Too bad there is not even one tiny shred of archeological proof that the people and places he wrote about ever existed!"
or
"Jehovah's Witnessess; when they come to your door, tell them you are Mormon. it works every time."

OK OK you get the point. All made up phoney-balony religious drivel is scary. Tom Cruise is the least of your problems.

Mainly because they are so good at leading people away from the truth. Look at how many 'religions/denominations' have there followers believing that they have to 'DO SOMETHING' to be saved, that God is a mean God and just waiting to destroy them, that God had nothing to do with how we all got here, and on and on...that is what is really scary...Nobody really knows what the Bible says so it is VERY easy for these extremist religions to get a foothold.

Because they are EXTREMIST they take a religion and manipulate it into something else. They then attempt to force their beliefs onto someone else and if of course they dont change their ways its the end for them.. Hmm maybe someone should check Tom Cruises basement.

Every religion has extremists. They's just people who are fuelled with hate and are brainwashed to interpret their religion in to something that justifies hatred, mass murder, war, attacks.....
Most religious people aren't stupid enough to believe such garbage and they live peaceful lives.
Also know that extremists are a very small minority of people and that the majority are infact good people.

People get so wrapped up into what THEY say is right that they don't even remember why they're trying to get you to think like them. It gets to the point where they're so frustrated with it they go absolutley nuts! I don't care what you believe, just believe in it, and be absolutley prepared to back up what you believe in, not to the point of freaking people out, but so the other party understands that you're not a total crackpot.
