This answer applies to 60 Hz AC rectification, only.

1/60 = 16.666 milliseconds

That's the time for 1 complete cycle. Half-wave rectification is just like it says, only 1/2 of the cycle gets "through" the diode, so you'll have one pulse every 16.666 milliseconds (not 2 of them).

A. 1 pulse
B. 1/40th = 25 milliseconds, so 1 pulse.
C. 500 ms / 16.6666 ms = 30 pulses.
