Did you though about getting an education first? I don't know if you want to work because you need the money badly or just to grow as a person. I hope is the latter. They are many opportunities in a community college and they aren't too expensive or too long. Something like paralegal, just as an example. Congratulations and I wish you good luck!

I tell you what, I've been in your shoes. I'm 35, have an 18 and 16 year old, 17 year old step daughter, 1 1/2 year old and one due in December. I realized I needed to do something different too and searched for a way to earn an income without going to work because there are so many responsibilities at the house, you know what I mean. Find something that you can do for yourself about an hour a day, then find someone that will help you during that hour so you can get out and clear your mind and maybe make some money in the process so you can help out with the budget. Your best bet is retail - Go to a children's clothing store like Baby Gap or Gymboree and see if they are hiring. When you fill out an application, emphasize that you are a parent and feel that you can help other parents with their shopping choices. Not only will it be rewarding to get out of the house and talk to other parents, but you can get a discount on cute clothes for your kids :o)

If you don't need to work to make ends meet, then I would suggest going back to school part time. You could take some general classes and figure out what interests you, then go for a degree.

Search careerbuilder.com "telecommute" "work at home" etc. not all will be "jobs" as REAL jobs do not cost but you will find some good one's. For example, AT&T has posted, as well as several travel agencies & airlines.

No money needed but you must work at least 20 hours to make money. Average pay is $7.20 - $14 hour. I know, I know its like work but at least you are working from home, creating your own schedule, leaving off high gas prices and stressful traffic.
Stay open-minded!!! And research, research, research!!!
