some time in our lifetime do you think genetic engineering will be able to create new animals like that from mythology or stories (hippogriff, unicorns,etc) no stupid answers please

religion will stop it ever getting that far playing god.maybe bringing back old species.it would be great if it could be done for good reasons.all the laws of genetics has to pass government legislation and they are still governed by the church or higher religions.when religion is not the voice of the majority maybe science would move quicker until then there hands are tide.

It depends whose lifetime you're talking about! Personally, I do expect to live long enough to see this kind of thing become possible (although at the point when it becomes possible, we may no longer have any reason to do it). Science and technology aren't going to slow down anytime soon, unless we all blow ourselves up with nukes or something stupid like that.

No. Because genetic engineering can only work with existing genes, and genes for mythological creatures don't exist.

If U can create artificial genes, which the scientists have already for a few years by now,then I couldn't see why not!
