By definition, a follower of Christ, doing as he did worshiping his Father, Jehovah. We are imperfect humans who have chosen to worship Jehovah out of love and respect for what He has done for mankind. Not out of what we could get as Satan claimed. It means changing our attitudes and views to God's way of thinking, realizing it would be ridiculous to expect it the other way around.
We follow God's Word, the Bible, closely. This means rejecting false pagan based beliefs. Most people worship out of only habit of doing what they were told and not from their own study. Jehovah despises ignorance. Several times in the Bible, there are commands to always be able to make a reasoned defense for your faith from the scriptures. This is not possible for the majority of people claiming to be Christians as first, they don't know and second, the beliefs are not Bible based.
It is also a way of life. Not something for just Sunday morning and acting like a heathen the other six and a half days. None of this means we are perfect or any better than anyone else. It does mean we try to live up to Jehovah's standards and humbly ask forgiveness where we fail. That way of life means not only learning what God requires of us but, spreading that knowledge with others. We don't hide it for ourselves in some corner.
Matt. 10:8 shows Jesus telling his followers (Christians) about all the things they would be able and obliged to do. Nice list. Then he added, "You received free, give free." No charge? All we can do is teach and share our knowledge. How much more freely should we give that? Such a rate of exchange seems like we should add something doesn't it? Certainly never charging for this.

A Christian is someone who believes that Jesus Christ is our savior from sin, death, and the power of the devil.
Christians believe that God gave us ten commandments, which can be summed up (as they were by Jesus) into two commands: 1) Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind; and 2) Love your neighbor as yourself.
Christians further believe that no human except for Jesus Christ can keep this law perfectly. If anyone breaks the law even once, they are damned to separation from God eternally. That's the "law."
Then, fortunately, there's the Gospel. God loved us so much that he sent Jesus to take our punishment for us. He was killed in our stead as punishment for our sins. He was then resurrected and returned to heaven. Eventually, he'll return and judge us according to our deeds.
Those who believe that Jesus' death and resurrection was payment in full for their sins will be welcomed into eternal life with God forever. Those who did not accept that teaching will be separated from God forever (hell).
A Christian is one who accepts those beliefs, and in gratitude for what Jesus did for us, tries to keep the commandments, and follows Jesus directive to tell everyone about what he did.
EDIT: Yes, atheist, how very true. In Matthew 18:3, Jesus says, "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."

You have answered the question , a follower of Christ in words and by your deeds. How you relate with people would make people to know that you are a follower of Christ. By their fruit you shall know them

A Christian is a person saved by God's grace that realizes that they aren't perfect but that He is and they have committed their lives to Him because of His sacrifice and His great love. A Christian is the son or daughter of Christ and when they die they will spend eternity in Heaven all because they had a relationship with God.

A Christian is someone who understands God's love and accepts His sacrifice for us. We repent of sinning and try not to do it anymore. Many people get the impression that Christians only want to shove our religion down your throat. That's not true, but some people created that bad image. It's also the things you said. I suggest going to a church and talking to a counselor. Being Christian is fun, I can still go to events, concerts and listen to secular music. It just depends on what you "feed" yourself. You reap what you sow.

One who trusts in JESUS and JESUS alone. You see all the laws were given for us to realize how bad we need Jesus. Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

Someone whom God as elected for salvation, not based on works but on His grace, mercy and love. A person who is indwelt with the Spirit, given the faith to believe, born again, saved from the wrath of God, forgiven, justified and being sanctified. The "fruit" they produce does not make them who they are, it reflects who they are.
