Yes, I asked this question a few days ago. Someone reported the question as a violation before I could vote. Thanks.

Illegal immigrants from Canada, Europe, Africa, and Asia are arrested and deported. The ones who want to stay make efforts to acquire a work visa and green card. This takes many years and lawyer fees in most cases. Then, there is another long wait before they can apply for citzenship. They learn to speak English. They don't demand that the public schools be taught in their native language.

Illegal immigrants from Mexico and Central America are allowed to stay. If any are arrested and deported, there are marches in the streets about the unfairness of sending these hardworking (they are ALL hardworking?!?) people back, as if there is something wrong with the USA government. Many refuse to learn English and some want public schools to be taught in Spanish.

Shouldn't all immigrants be required to follow the same immigration laws? Why is leeway given to Latinos?

An example from this week alone (in LA)is the Mexican Elvira Arellano who has now been deported for the third time for being illegal. People are marching in the streets in protest of the deportation.

Why shouldn't she have to follow the same procedures as Arnold Schwarzenegger and millions of other immigrants who went through the proper channels to live in the USA legally?

She should, it is a disgrace when people who break the law, get rewarded, and people who follow procedure to stay in the country are punished by long waits and tests.

The fact is that many of the illegal alien women do apply and receive WIC, foodstamps, free lunch for their kids, etc., because their kids are born here, thereby on paper making them American citizens and creating an "anchor baby" whereby they, the illegal mom can benefit from all the goodies that are available, so this is where the argument could be put out there that even if some of the illegals who work do contribute any money through taxes, it is not sufficient to even balance what is being taken out by the illegals through these "social programs" - don't even try to tell me that they are not doing this, cuz..... I know personally people who are illegal that live in Texas, Oregon and California and they do it, not all of the illegal persons that I know do this, but it's about 50/50 split. Next, not all illegals pay the correct amount of taxes because they claim like 45 dependents on their w-4 forms & etc. Don't try to tell that they don't this either, cuz...... I know the game. However, since the government never seems to go after them in tax audits, this never really gets dealt with and in fact, with all the no match numbers that come up in the system and/or taxpayer id #'s that money may or may not ever really get documented in the system I sometimes wonder just who's pocket(s) this money ends up in, but that's another story. Next, many of the jobs that illegals do, they will work for less money than perhaps an American, therefore, it doesn't take long for the boss/employer to want to replace his workforce with persons who will work for less money, this is not just a problem here in the U.S., this is a problem even in Mexico, where many of the farmers there hire illegal Guatemalans because they say the Mexicans don't want to work and that they are lazy, but it is because the Guatemalans will work for less, simply stated, it is a matter of convenience to the bottom line of the owner of the business. There is no double standard and I am definitely NOT misinformed and I don't care what question or defense you try to twist and turn, The Truth will always set you Free.

It is strange, the further the country, the easier to deport people (it happens the same in Spain, it is easier to deport a person in the middle of Africa than to Morocco, 5 miles away).
I believe there is a double standard towards the rest of the immigrants. They are not in the Main Stream Media, which only focus on Latin American immigrants and they forget the other countries.

By the way Mexico has really hard immigration and naturalization laws. See how they deport a lot of Central Americans.

Well for starters those countries you mentioned are English speaking countries with the exception of Asia, but even they are taught English in school. Also, many of them have visa availabilities or "benefits" that a lot of Hispanic/Latino countries do not have. Example visa lottery, asylum, temporary protective status.

As for marches and rallies. This country needs to open more benefits for undocumented immigrant (which Hispanic/Latinos are the majority) for example an immigration reform. The only way for congress to hear them is to have marches and demonstrations peacefully of course. That is how the civil rights movement started.

You think that leeway is being given because there are so many Latinos in this country. Are you sure you are not stereotyping by assuming they are immigrants/illegal immigrants?

There's not a formal double standard, it's just a matter of numbers. A majority of illegals are from Mexico & Central/South America. When illegals get aprehended, more of them are from that demographic, when they organize a protest, it's the same thing.

There is a lot less leeway for wetb acks now a days because of the riots and illegal marches that disturb our peace and before you get angry with the term "wetb ack" keep in mind that it is only a reference to those Hispanics who burn our flag and soil our country to them yes I said "WETB ACK" to all others who are here legally and working rather than living off of our tax dollars I give my respect and I am proud to work with them. Most of my work crews are legal Hispanics and very respectable honorable people. It angers them as much as me to see the lazy whining wetb acks stirring racial tensions for them.

What in the world is she talking about "a certain elite trying to turn the US and Mexico into a single country" the people you speak of are niether elite or do they have a large political pull. Stick to the alien conspiracies or come back to reality.

There are over 50 Latin American countries so there is an abundance of immigrants from these countries. They are not allowed to stay any more than non-Latino illegal immigrants. Some people refuse to learn English because everything is in Spanish nowadays, some people are fully convinced that it is not necessary when it is.

I agree with you that it is a double standard and hypocrisy at its best.

The reason why they are doing this is because certain elite want to erase the borders and create a "North American Union" between Mexico, the USA and Canada...something in the form of the EU. Look up these key words on Google: Amero, SPP, NAU and the writings of Robert Pastor.
