My wife has a 99 Nissan Quest GLE with a possessed keyless entry system. When the remote has a battery installed the system acts like it has been inhabited by a polterguist. The door locks continuosly open and shut. The system makes a clicking noise without activating the locks when the buttons are pressed. Door lock buttons inside the car (driver and passenger) don't work, manual locks are OK. Have to hit the driver's side manual lock to lock up the van. Can also use the key to lock the whole van. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Almost always the remote has a dammaged switch. You should replace the remote Nissan uses only a few frequencys Just make sure on E-Bay your lock fob looks just likke the one your buying. Same shape buttons and fob shape. Or you can spend 90+ at the dealership. I had this customer said her alarm was freeking out. As it turns out her Black Lab dog ate her keyless entry fob After I programed a new remote the problem went away. Every time the dog scratched? alarm went off?
