I like Jews, they never try to convert. They are a race/religion. It's cool with me. Pagans, well, I think they are insane, but, they never knock on my door trying to get me to convert, although my last six cats are missing (joke, don't get offended) and buddhists just say look within, they are all cool with me.
How about you?

I'm pretty much with ya, generally speaking.

I'm an atheist and I have a lot of "pagan" friends. "Cool but insane" covers it, but I like insane people - at least, that particular brand of insane. It's really all about connecting with nature, ritual affirmations, etc. It's superstitious, but not vicious - unlike (I'm sorry) "exoteric" Christianity and Islam.

Buddhists - well, I've practiced Buddhist meditation techniques myself. Buddhism isn't dogmatic or superstitious in its essence, although many of its practitioners are. The Buddhists I've known include a lot of faddists, a few "born and raised," and a couple of serious, intelligent, truly enlightened Bodhisattvas.

Judaism seems to me to be all about following arbitrary traditional rules for reasons that nobody understands. It's almost more of a culture than a religion. It's true that Jews as a rule are not proselytizers, which is most definitely a mark in their favor.

Having made all these generalizations, my "PC" clause is that yes, there are "cool" people from every conceivable religious tradition, just as there are 'holes. And you can make any conceivable religious tradition the excuse for your attitude.

Jews vary in their beliefs from extremely orthodox and zionistic to fully secular. Pagans also are diverse, although the western varieties are simply worshipers of the planet and the universe. Buddhism does not require a belief in a deity. Even Christians, Muslims, and Hindus are varied and are not necessarily intrusive.

The thing that makes a belief difficult to live with is the antagonistic, my-way-or-the-highway self-righteousness that can develop from dogmatic beliefs.

For the record: atheists are always cool with me as well as pagans and Jews. Me: Atheist sympathizer and Buddhist Yogini:}

Seeing as I'm a pagan AND an atheist (and a Taoist) they're just fine with me.

And nice Christians are cool with me too, come to that.

Oh yeah, and Jewish people to. No bother.

Pretty much all true. Except I don't think Pagans are crazy. They're cute for the most part. I like Christians, just not Christianists.

Depends on the particular jew, pagan, and buddhist. I try not to generalize, even though I'm not very good at it.

Christianity=pagan sun worship
Jews= old cult
Buddhism is cool with me, I suppose just because they don't try to impose on my daily life too much.

Most people are cool with me. Offline, I have plenty of christian friends. It's just the ones here that I wouldn't give the time of day to in any other situation

As long as the person isn't trying to convert, judge, or force me to live by laws created to appease their religion, then I have no problem with them.
