Depends on the type of salad. For veggie I like a mix of ice berg lettuce and baby spinach, some cucumbers, maybe a bit of red onion, boiled egg whites, radishes and topped with French dressing.
Pasta salad I like made with Miracle Whip, with cucumbers, cheddar cheese, maybe some chicken, salt and pepper.

Not all at the same time: smoked salmon, tuna, grapes, apples, mandarin oranges, black, or green or calamata olives, cheese, croutons, toasted almond slices, baby spinach, field greens, cucumber, radishes, bell peppers (all colors), red or white onion, rice vinegar once the salad is on my plate, avocados, peas, kidney beans, to name a few.

Love salads of all kinds as long as there are no beans in it.
The one I am eating now has butter lettuce, carrots, broccoli, snap peas, and is topped with almond slivers and a balsamic vinaigrette.

Orzo, baby spinach, pine nuts, garbanzos, lemon vinaigrette, and feta. And sometimes a few other things. But that's my basic salad.
