If she measures 34A then she needs to start wearing a real bra. Bras weren't created to serve an age rite purpose, they are functional, and 34A is what most would consider "real breasts". They need proper support starting by that size.

If you wait until she is a B cup (as was suggested) there will likely already be supporting tissue and shaping damage unless she is very athletic -- we call that "saggy boobs" and 10-11 is way too young for that.

The padded issue is up to you. I'd not see why a 10 year old (5th grade) who measures equal to many 13+ year olds would need padding.

A 10 year old with that bra size does not need a bra. Don't let her grow up too fast. This should not be a issue for a child of that age.

I say no.....A 10 year old with a padded bra is just asking for trouble. Especially the way guys are today.....If u want your daughter to be safe just keep her in the training bras.

I don't think it is necessary for a ten year old to have a padded bra unless they are at least a B cup. You can get a bra that has a stiffer cup but is not padded. Just look around in your local department stores underwear section!

I would let her have a padded bra but not a push-up bra. If you go to Victoria's Secret, they have some bras in their Pink collection that are geared toward preteen and teen girls. They are nice because they are lined and have an under wire, but they don't make your breasts look larger like a push-up bra would.

I think she is too young for a padded bra...she doesn't need to 'appear' to have boobs, she's 10! Oh, they want to grow up so FAST!

Go to the store and have her try on a few and if you personally think she looks to busty tell her you may want to wait a few years. But if she insists only buy her one to actually see if she'll use it.

i don't think she should because they might hurt her chest..so she should stay with training bras until she is about..in her teen days.about 13 years old..
